Nicole Roop

Nicole Roop, associate director for undergraduate programs in aerospace engineering, received the Maryland College Personnel Association's "Dedication to Professional Service" award last month at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).

Roop served as president of the Maryland College Personnel Association (MCPA) for 2005-06, and is currently on the governing board for ACPA: College Student Educators International as a member-at-large.

This award recognized Roop for her more than 10 years of professional service to both associations. She has also served these associations on conference and convention committees, and is a member of the directorate for ACPA's commission on academic support.
